Whether its the music and food festival in August or simply just the stunning sandy beaches with the traditional harbour, Scarborough really has it all.
Dolphins, seals and porpoises are regular visitors to the bay which always provide excitement to young and old. We even had Thor the walrus visit at the end of 2022. If you want to get closer to any then a boat ride from the harbour is a must. For those brave enough you could join the regular swimmers / paddle boarders or surfers although be warned, out of season it is cold!
Or maybe its the largest open air theatre in Europe where you want to see your favourite artist perform. Or maybe its to see Scarborough’s most famous resident Alan Ayckbourn’s latest play at the Stephen Joseph Theatre.
And so to Spinnaker House. This has been lovingly restored and brought back to life. The property was constructed approximately in 1900 and has been both a private house and a hotel. The property is located in the South Bay and the South Cliff Gardens are only a few minutes walk, which has had considerable investment within the last few years. Spinnaker House is capable of sleeping up to 17 people, and well behaved dogs are permitted (see T’s & C’s). The property has two sitting rooms so if children are desperate to catch up on their programs then can do so without being disturbed. There is also a well equipped modern kitchen for creating a banquet for all guests who can sit together in the dining room. Alternatively local restaurants are a short walk if that is preferred.
Sleeping accommodation is spread over three floors, with a mixture of super king, king, double, bunk and single beds. There are seven ensuite bathrooms plus a family bathroom too. Outside there are two patio areas which are fully enclosed.
The property is ideal for gathering a family or group of friends together and enjoy each others company, whilst enjoying what Scarborough has to offer, at any time of the year. Whether you want to relax on the beach or explore the sights, our house is the perfect place to do it.
